Minor accidents are a big problem in the workplace with strains and back injuries alone costing NSW $502 million in 2002/3. Using our insight that slips, trips and falls are not taken seriously, we showed how a small accident can have a big impact, not just on the workplace but, more importantly, on victims’ home and family life. A carefully chosen mix of people that reflected key demographics showed how difficult it can be to grapple with everyday life, when carrying a seemingly minor injury.
